Pamlico County Schools Receives Grant

From the NC Public Schools Facebook page:

"School district leaders, boards of education members, and state legislators from nine counties across the state came together today for a ceremony at DPI to celebrate the distribution of nearly $300 million in new state lottery-funded grant awards for school construction, renovation projects, and other capital improvements.
Several district administrators shared stories of how the funds will help improve teaching and learning environments for students and staff through renovations, the construction of new buildings, or replacing aging facilities."

Pamlico County Superintendent, Lisa Jackson, Executive Director of Student Services, Henry Rice, and Chairman of the Pamlico County Board of Education, John Prescott were in attendance to accept the 50 million dollar grant that has been awarded to Pamlico County Schools towards the construction of a new school.
Ms. Lisa Jackson, in a video last week, thanked the board of education, the community, and county commissioners for supporting the school system in this new endeavor.
