This past weekend, three of our very own traveled to Charlotte, NC for the Carolina Panthers Regional Spelling Bee presented by Bank of America. Two as competitors and one as a coordinator!
Gavin Moody and Brylea Hardison competed in the Regional Spelling Bee after winning the spelling bees at their schools, Fred A Anderson Elementary School and Pamlico County Middle School. Ms. Anne Wood, media center coordinator at PCHS, was one of the coordinators for the event!
Students participate until they spell a word incorrectly. Gavin's last word was "pulpit" and Brylea's last word was "ewe." Both of our students tied with 9 other students for 11th place!
